TL was born in Dallas, Texas. Moved to Ohio at the age of 2 and spent his entire childhood in Ohio. TL moved to Gainesville, Florida at the age of 19 and spent roughly 2 years there living on his own for the first time. He then moved back to Ohio to attend college. He spent several years at Kent State in Ashtabula his hometown before transferring to Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio to play college football. He was a psychology major while playing a few years of college football at Heidelberg. During his senior year he had a strong urge to leave Tiffin, so he did. He researched different places he could move to and the winner was Parkersburg, West Virginia. TL enrolled in a small college called Ohio Valley University to finish his Psychology degree. During registration he found out that not all his credits transferred so he would be a sophomore again. This put TL in a dilemma as he was not interested in being a sophomore, but he also wasn’t interested in going back to Heidelberg.

This is how TL stumbled upon joining the military. After some research and careful consideration TL signed up to join the United States Navy at the age of 28. TL was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia for the entirety of his 4-year contract. Due to leadership issues, TL decided to leave the Navy after his 4-year contract was up. His original plan was to move to Arkansas where his best friend moved back to. But a cancer scare during his separation from the Navy re-routed him to Colorado. TL moved to Colorado in 2013 and purchased his first home in 2014. He currently lives in Colorado with his dog Jackson and plans on staying in Colorado long term.
